You presume correctly, sir. Black walnut live edge slab. The sides and back are 8/4. The top is 5/4 book matched. I used birdseye maple butterflies to reinforce the top joint and on the back which is the crotch of the tree and had a crack emanating out from it.

Started running wires for cameras, that climbing still hurts my parts.

Bear wound so tight today he's gonna snap. Crazy little bastard.

MIL (80) has been in the hospital for 3 days think it is now. Mainly dehydrated and potassium levels super low. She turned down a MRI. She's gotten weak again and couldn't get out of bed without 2 people helping so off to a rehab she goes. The last rehab trip went extremely badly mentally, extremely badly.
When I took care of her for 10 days think it was it aged me 5 years easy.
I fear she may not come home. Wife won't take it well at all.

Nobody that lives there will take any responsibility for her either, other family does little or nothing to help them out (never have). Hell one year we saw them more than family that lives 20 miles away.
I offered years ago to help her out, basically I'm not family so no.
FIL will let her wallow in self pity and keep her somewhere else. When they release her I don't see her coming home. If that happens it won't end well and will be quick.
She's not mentally stable enough to be in a home or rehab.
MS isn't doing her any favors either, hasn't gotten much if any worse in 15 years.
Wife's family ****ed me over(sorry Lisa) when I took care of her years ago, didn't hold up their end nor did what they said would do. I burned all the bridges then or since. I tried to play nice... They screwed over then old lady and me so I let them know my displeasure. I may have also told FIL off a few years back. That's ok he's a selfish asshole of immeasurable quantity. Did my soul good to put people in their place.
I'd rather live and die in a van down by the river then deal with any of them (except MIL she just crazy).

Truth. Only 20 hours or so a week when I’m home. The travel is getting old. This time next year I’ll be fully retired no matter how much money they throw at me.

Replace cheap POS fireplace wall heater on wife’s porch. Why?

Check it out and sure as shit The POS CHINESE WALL HEATER burning up, not the unit the frigging plug and outlet!

Glad she was there, breaker wouldn’t have tripped as wired never shorted. Was @15a. Must have been burning for a while in smolder mode
