Been waiting over an hr to be call back for MRI, awesome as sitting hurts still amd tired of pacing.
I should have packed a snack.
At least the wife gets to be bored with me. Payback... What shirt should I wear.

Ok well that sucked level 9...
Called back at 215 they had an emergency and running about hr behind.
In scanner 230 ish and out at 430. Didn't go well at all.

So if you've never had an MRI especially one already told takes 45 plus minutes you might want to be better prepared than I.
Wasn't an open MRI, my wee bit of claustrophobia kicked in like a mother right after they slapped a 10 lb chunk of plastic on my chest/stomach (which makes it super fun to breathe) and put me immediately in completely head included.
The noise is deafening... Foam ear plug fell out after a few minutes (stop 1). Stop 2...uhhh dude you have metal in hip, say what... Since when dude. Check ctscan from few months ago. Nothing on it but it was prior to surgery.. Oh he says. Wut wait a ****in minute.. They didn't open me up and it ain't near my hip. Some ****er left shit up the tube I'm beating somebody ass.
Oh let me run a bit of scan and I'll let you know but you're probably done since metal in you.
Not a ****in word for 15 or 20 minutes of scans.
Stop 3... You need to hold still, well turn the fan off blowing on my face making my sinuses run and prop my head up and it's hurting my ears. Oh we have headphones. Nice.... Tells me if you don't hold perfectly still it takes alot longer. Listen lady I have to breathe.
When finally done she tells me next time you need meds to calm down as you were having issues. No shit i couldn't breathe right and caused my brain to freak out let alone oh let us know if your hip starts to hurt bad from metal getting pulled out by the other dude.
I feel like I fell off a roof, I must have looked like shit as they took pity on me and wife too(whoa I looked that bad?).
I was a bad patient... And that scan sucked all 2 hrs flat on back holding still.
I apologized to old lady waiting after me(she was there when I went in). We talked told her put ear muffs on. She has claustrophobia bad and she had taken 1 xanax... Lady go ahead pound 2 or 3 down right now. I didn't tell her how bad it sucked... Didn't want to see her cry.

Lastly I bled alot when took port out, I don't bleed easily. I have cut a finger to the bone and had half this amount of blood. I have to keep wounds soaking or when get to er they literally rip them open as already healed over(sucks fyi). This is a gusher for me.

Next time if there is a next time they will knock me out or I'll take enough shit to make me pass out. That or find an open MRI...

Next week should be fun as find out results and what treatment(s) may be.
I'm really not looking forward to it at all, I'll be drunk for that appointment to hell with it.

My friend has several a year, no idea how he does it. Said the brain scans are 1.5 hrs locked in head holder.. And his head is huge. No idea with his back all messed up how he does it... Two different people asked me why I was there... Well maybe YOU should read my chart.
Oh you already know have cancer? Well that's what the asshole doctor said so yes. How about you scan me see how bad it is ok.

Told the dude... You know I wouldn't be at a cancer center if didn't have it right...
I may move to Oklahoma I hear there's a good doctor there.


Once I get results I'm probably heading to Duke get 2nd opinion.

The only good thing was that I didn't have to go in main hospital and deal with the crackheads and homless.
