It will cost him probably tens of millions, as he'll have to get some kind of surety bond posted with the court while the case winds through one or more appeals. The process IS the punishment.

That's just money they took from him and his family. Money he'll never get back. Can he lose it and not be destitute on the streets? Probably, yeah, but that doesn't make it right.

As discussed in other threads, in FL, when served with civil suit, you can counter with a $1.00 settlement.
When the plantiff does not accept AND loses in court, they must pay your legal fees.

Would be nice if in nys this would apply WHEN TRUMP wins on appeal.

Already up to half a billion with interest. Amendment 8 of the Constitution
kicked in a long time ago. Excessive fines are prohibited. You would
