Spam doesn’t resemble any meat I’ve ever had.

I agree. It has meat in it, but it isn't "meat."

Rarely. My dad was a butcher. We ate real meat, not “meat products” formed in a jello mold.

Those are actually types of sausage.

I would say that "meat" is the flesh found in animals, but I'm not googling the actual definition.

Spam, scrapple, liver mush, head cheese. Y'all are just getting me hungry. Just had some great pate from Hungary last week. People only eating the prime cuts miss out on all the flavor.

My father used to make scrapple, liver pate and head cheese from scratch. The stuff he made was damn good and I got to see everything that was in it so I knew it was a-okay. I especially miss the scrapple he made, served with fried eggs.

On the other hand, my mother used to try to get us to eat spam. The trick only worked once but she kept trying.

Louie's mistake was ordering scrapple in the Detroit area.

Generally, I can't find scrapple around here. When we go to the South Jersey shore, it is part of the Philly area, and it is in every supermarket.

I had heard rumor that there have been so many Philly area snow-birds in FLA for so long, that supermarkets there have "Habbersett" scrapple in the freezer section. I found that hard to believe, but when we were there last year, I looked, and they were right!

If I ever see Pork Roll on the menu, I always ask what brand There was a bar that did brunch in LA. Owners were east coast. The guy had the pork roll shipped in specially from NJ. John Taylor is a National hero.

Even though I have lived in North NJ since 1986, because I am originally from the Philly area, I wouldn't know a "pork roll" from a "Taylor ham".

Taylor is the brand. So all pork roll is not Taylor Ham, but all Taylor Ham is Pork Roll. Taylor is the one to eat.

Really? That would be a deal breaker for me, aside from her politics.

I'd never even heard of her til last fall when he started banging her. Never seen any pictures of her other than when she was in the stadium watching games.

Like an ironing board. There's even a Reddit thread
