Gameroom Barn Bucks: $500
Default 1965 ignition switch

I know they are one year specific but why?

Can other years be used without modifications?

I currently don’t need one just thinking ahead.

Early ones had clip on bulb retainers, 65 the switch had cast retainers.
The contacts on the rear were in different positions. A 65 had a 635 switch
to start but during production they moved to a 660 switch that fell into the
66 production. I would guess that the 66 would be ok with a 66 key and
tumbler. So NO 63,64,67. I dont know much about the electrical part of
Corvettes , I tried to burn one down once. Take what I say with a grain of
salt.
Good luck

I have been thinking about my answer on the 660 switch, I have reconsidered
and you may be able to use the 65 key and tumbler. The switch 635
and 660 are different on the outside but the contacts on the back are the same.
