October 16 - The last Friday nite cruise-in of the year at the NAPA store in Smithfield, VA. Open to all, there is a small entry fee. Gets started around 6PM.

October 17 - (rain date 24) Free Spirit Equine Rescue Shelter's 9th Annual Benefit Car Show at Bethesda Church of God in Powhatan (2480 Academy Rd) 9-4 Open to all makes and models of cars,trucks,and bikes Top 50 plus specialty awards for best paint, best engine, best interior, best club participation, best bike, best truck, best Mopar, best racecar, best street rod, best Ford, best GM, best import, best display, oldest vehicle, longest distance driven, people's choice,s pecial memorial trophy the "Pop" award - over 70 trophys to be handed out, music by dj tattoo, goody bags and dash plaques to the first 100 vehicles registered. Car show participants $20.00. Vendor spaces are limited and should call ahead to reserve a space. Food, door prizes, 50/50 drawing - all proceeds go to a great hard working animal charity. October 17 - (rain date 24th) Erie Insurance presents the Veteran's Car & Bike Show. This event will be held at 6802 Paragon Place Richmond VA 23230 in the back lot. The show is from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and gates open at 8 a.m. There is a $15.00 registration fee. For registration forms please contact Sandy Beach 804-662-6518. ([email protected]) There will be 18 categories with awards in each one! Monies collected will benefit McGuire Hospital & the Fisher House. Concession stands will be available. We will also do a 50/50. Please come and show your support for our Veterans.


October 17 - UPS will be holding it's 9th Annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show at the UPS facility located at 14841 Sweitzer Lane, Laurel, Md 20707. With an estimated 1000 vehicles in attendace annually, UPS continues to add to the already busy day of entertainment for the entire family. With live bands, Halloween Costume contest for adults and kids, play and entertainment area for the children, great food and more awards than any other show. Also come help us celebrate Joey Lora's birthday, a child who has survived many brain operations and continues to beat the odds, let's give Joey the biggest birthday he had ever had. October 17 - Varina Car Show at Varina High School, 7053 Messer Road, Richmond, VA 23231. 10 AM to 4 PM. Rain date October 24. Welcome all antique cars, street rods, custom cars and trucks. Food and soft drinks available on site. Sponsored by the Old Dominion Chapter Model A Ford Club. October 17 - SONIC Drive-In presents a day of events to benefit Relay for Life, including raffles, exhibitions, a concert featuring Grant Austin Taylor and the 2009 CAR SHOW EXPLOSION from 11AM to 11PM on Saturday, Oct 17, 2009. This is an "Open" Show .. all years, makes & models. Entry fee is $20 per car with judging will take place from 3PM to 4PM. Sonics at 13450 Carrollton Blvd, Carrollton, VA 23314. Trophies will be awarded for overall best in show and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place vehicles with dash plaques for an honorable mention. October 17 - Styling Stangs of Hampton Roads presents their Annual Open Car; Truck Show and Swap Meet. It will be at the Historic Denbigh Courthouse and the Olivet Christian Church located at 14425 Old Courthouse Way, Newport News, 23608. Registration is $15.00 Show Starts at 9:00 am, Awards 3:00 to the top 50 in the "drivers class", open to All Makes, All Models.
