Ate a few buckets of them sitting on the dock, straight off the boat. These things were huge, fresh (alive), and great tasting. Some Corp of Engineer guys using our docks always seemed to have some on hand after a day of dredging.

Would not eat a dead one at a restaurant. No way of knowing where it came from or how long it was dead? Not this guy.

Seen them split open on ice. Didn't look very fresh or alive to me. Got people breathing on them and stuff, yuck. My brother gave me a jar of shelled oysters once, didn't turn them down to avoid being rude but I wasn't about eating them

Love 'em, my appetizer at seafood restaurants on the Eastern Shore. Chincoteaques and Blue Points are my favorite with some cocktail sauce mixed with horseradish....................ummmmmmmm

I pretty much stopped after eating a bad one. Had digestive issues for a couple of days. Now only eat broiled ones.

Love ‘em.
Also like a good oyster shooter. Raw oyster in a shot glass, fill with vodka and then a drop or two of hot sauce. Bombs away!

I'll eat some raw sea boogers, but lately I prefer them steamed lightly. Cracker, drawn butter, lemon....yummm.

I've eaten and enjoyed them, but they kinda gross me out lately. I think I enjoy the horseradish more than the oyster.

I like them best when they come from cold waters in the fall and winter months.
