Looks like it might hold a smaller gun, like a .380 cal. The problem with hitting the back of the display would occur on takeoff, though, not when braking. Baggies of coke or pot would be soft and wouldn't be a problem either way. Now, if a hooker was stashed in there and she came through the nav screen when I was burning out.....I'd take that into the dealer as a warranty claim.

Caliber has nothing to do with gun size. I have an XD-40 that will fit in there.

Yeah, you're right. I was just thinking about the typical gun, not compact versions. A full size 1911, for example, probably wouldn't fit, whereas a Walther PPK probably would.
