Default Anyone Running Michelin Pilot Sports AS+RF on their C-5?

Sorry to post in the wrong section, but we all know no one actually goes to the other subforums, so.....

Anyone have experience with these?

My '04 LeMans vert is ready for a new set of shoes, for the very first time. 22,000 and the OEM Goodyears are thrashed.

Yes. My '04 Lemans vert is my daily driver, and I'm on my second set of PS A/S ZP. Much quieter than the Goodyears.

I had them on my old C5. Very good and very cost effective alternative to the Goodyears. Much quieter also. My only critique is that the tire isn't quite as visually appealing due to a larger sidewall. If you can live with that, it's a great choice.

That is what I've had on my 2003 C5 for the majority of its 215,000 miles. Would not use any other tire at this point. I find that the Pilots to the the best balance for cost, mileage, performance, etc.

Most of the time I order them from Tirerack.com and they show up in 24-48 hours.

I just bought another full set and hoping they will take me half way between where I am now and 300,000 miles.

And this is why no one hardly reads the sub forums. Because people keep posting sub forum specific questions in OT.

Chicken and egg thing. I'd like the subforums to take off a well, but I need tires now, not 2 years from now after 3 people saw my post and 1 person actually responded.

Don't shoot the messenger. Oh, and I've decided to go with them, so feel free to move this to the appropriate section. Thanks!

If it's any small comfort, I could have posted in the other place and gotten 30 responses in an hour, along with a spirited discussion of floor mats. I chose to post here.

.
Bill, if I read your original post correctly...you needed new tires a few years ago regardless of mileage. Tires are not safe after 9-10 years. The rubber does not hold up that long.

Pilots are the best option...and drive that car more than a couple thousand miles a year.

Update:

Well, it's been a few days, I've driven on the new shoes twice. They are a lot quieter, but since I drive like an old guy most all of the time, I can't really speak to handling vs the stock Goodyears.

I think I'll get a set of these for my 2000 in the spring.
