Question about mini amplifiers
I have two bookshelf speakers in my garage. They are powered and I feed it from my phone through a small bluetooth receiver.
Here are the speakers http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 here is the bluetooth receiver http://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetooth.../dp/B075JBLGLB It sounds pretty good in my big garage (24 x36). I am thinking of getting a mini amplifier for them. Here is one that has lots of great reviews. http://www.amazon.com/Kinter-K2020A-...ct_top?ie=UTF8 Would that make much difference in the sound? What could I expect? I have never used an standalone amplifier, only a receiver/amplifier and really don't know anything about it. |

are the speakers of the "powered" variety (having their own amplifiers)?
If so, can then be driven directly - bypassing their internal amps ??? |

They are powered. I will have to check that, right?

Those are powered mini-monitors and can not be powered via outboard amp.
You'd have to get a set of passive speakers and a receiver to go with your new amp unless you got an integrated (amp/receiver) If you are looking for improved sound quality, feel free to shoot me a pm if you want to knock around details, ideas, and budget. You don't have to break the bank to get great sound. Scott audio nut for 35+ years

You don't amplify a signal that's already amplified in this case. Besides, your speakers would probably blow out even if you did manage to get another amp inline.
