Yes. I use some military surplus high fiber grease dated 1958 on the front ball bearings of my Corvette.

I "read in a book" that if you grease your trailer ball, make sure you put the cover on it so when ( not "if" but when) your wife walks into it, she doesn't get grease on her pants or leg.

About 30 years ago my buddy was a bouncer at a higher end strip club.
