Yay power went out at midnight and did not come back until 4:30 this afternoon. I siphoned gas from the 63 for my generator and worked from home. It wasn't that bad actually. I looked at it as practice for hurricane season. I bought a 12000 BTU portable AC unit 2 years ago that has been in my attic, so I brought it down and tried it out. I had internet, AC, and both refrigerators going along with a cord over to the neighbor's house.

Generators are mandatory here. We have 2. One for portability and then the big one to plug the home into. Sounds like you are prepped. If you guys evacuate, do you drive your cars out?

Mornin everyone...
Weekend didn't start well, wife let doggo out and what do ya know the 2 neighbor dogs are right there. My dog doesn't take that well so the chase began. Me being half awake followed in slippers at half speed upon hearing the yelling. They headed to another neighbors house and my dog broke off the chase as he's trained to do. That neighbor happens to be gone this weekend and have chickens... Wouldn't be the 1st time chickens have been killed by this guys dogs(different dogs i think). So being the good neighbor I spent 45 minutes getting them home and beating on door for them to put dogs up. He's approaching my patience limit with these dogs.
Since I was up and sweaty already I decided to get big fan out and sit with doggo. Thinking about firing grill up and cooking chicken. Wife has to work so she'll get some bbq before work ay least.
Pass the booze.
