If they want to take over parenting, then they need to own the result of their efforts as much as the biological parents do.

There is a current case where this is happening. An Administrator at a school did not take action after being informed three times that a student had a firearm. The kid shot his teacher and the teacher is suing the school for failure to do anything to prevent the incident.

Teachers are over-reaching like crazy and want parents to have no say in how their child is raised. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Well, unless you are a leftist. Teachers these days are the absolute scum of the earth and there is no way in hell I would have a child in the public school system.

I agree with everything said. So, is there an age restriction ? If a 40 YO kill’s someone do they arrest their 70 YO parents ?

Did the trans parents in Tennessee get arrested for their kid ?

I think that if you have a 40 year old living at home, possibly. You should be accountable and aware that you have a "unique" situation.

Aside from that, as a minor, yes, as an adult, no. There will always be exceptions.

I know the argument could be made about a car, and a million other things but if your kid has a drug problem, do you buy them more drugs?

I live 5ish miles from the school so I look forward to hearing about this for another 2 years....
