Default What are the essential elements to assemble a model HO box car?
I may have a unit or two on my way. Michigan related rolling stock.

Besides CA glue what else is needed?

They probably have some kind metal ballast weight to secure.

It has been quite a while since I've bought any Accurail freight cars.

About all that you will need is a small screwdriver. The kits that I have bought had two small screws to attach the weight to the interior floor. There also were two small screws to attach the wheel sets.

If they are of older cars then the roof walk will snap in place on the roof. The only place that I used an adhesive (very sparingly) is for the brake wheel.

Again, it's been quite a while but I don't think they would have changed much.
