I have not gotten a flu shot since I retired from the Air Force in 1985. Have not had the flu.

No flu shots from age 0 to about 60, then flu shots every year til last year when I was 71.

FWIW: I've never had the flu in my life.

But no more shots: I've lost almost all faith in the corrupted socialized "medical" system. And like trusting someone again who cheated on you, the chances of getting that trust back are somewhere between slim and none -- and I saw Slim headin' outta town at sundown.

I've had the flu 3 or 4 times.. Sucked but life goes on.
I understand why people get the shot though, some really need to get them with compromised immune systems.

I have never gotten the flu. Only time I ever got a flu shot was in2007 after I had gone through chemotherapy that summer for hairy cell leukemia. My immune system was compromised so I got one that year

No way I am trusting another flu shot for the rest of my life. The powers that be were entirely too desperate to get their magic juice into every man, woman, and child. I no longer trust them.

Eveery time I took the flu shot or nasal spray in the Army, I got the Flu. Refuse to take it along with the KungFlu shot. I always bought off Doc in the Army with Jalapeno Cheese spread from the MREs to fake the paper work and say I took the "treatement"and haven't had it ir KungFlu since I stopped taking then 15 years ago... KungFlu, I never took a single one and am a PURE BLOOD.

Just like the covid shot - won't get one. Flu shot is a crap shoot anyway since they basically just guess at the variety. 30 years on a plane every week and most of those weeks in a hospital somewhere. Maybe a cold every 3 years or so, or a sinus infection, otherwise nothing.

Only once. It seems they always make a claim it's only good for a certain strain and then everybody gets some other strain.

I know it's two very different things, but, I keep hearing we don't like to prescribe antibiotics because too much of it and they start to lose their effectiveness.

I just wonder if that's the same for flu shots, covid shots, etc...

If you already have a low immune system. Does a flu shot really help?

Forced to take a flu shot 50 years ago in the military. First time I ever heard of it. I think it was the first flu shot ever foisted on the American public (early 70's swine flu). Wasn't voluntary, I was tracked down and threatened, last person on the base to get it.

Since then I'm better at playing hard to get. I get the flu about once every ten years on average. So what? My immune system works as God intended. Does not justify presenting myself to an agent of the state for medical experimentation, and nothing ever will.
