He was adding tilt steering and C5 lumbar seats for my back. Nothing I requested, was a rabbit hole he went down on his own.

Look under the hood and see how/if it's attached to a rag joint there. See if you have the original steering box or if he changed it out. Just unbolt starting under the hood. Then where it attaches to firewall.

Some of those brackets might be fender/body support pieces.

Only a few bolts to swap column especially since everything torn apart. Doesn't look like wiring was changed yet so it might be easier to switch back to original.

Hood not attached yet. Will do that later, thank you!

Thanks Rod.

Shooting for KISS. Putting as many original parts back in the car as possible. I’m going to have a lot of parts to sell: custom C5 Lumbar seats, steering column, power window regulators. Things I had no intention of adding. Wil help us pay for missing parts and labor to fix things we don’t have the know how on.

To be fair, we have a little garage project going on, and I have only been able to fit one car in the garage for months. I would have to move a bunch of crap around just to get the car in the air properly. I had actually planned to do brakes on the C7 today, but it looks like rain off and on all day, and I don't want to stick the old car with the leaky roof out in the driveway in order to do so.

It’s been fun going through parts AGAIN this am. Google images is no damn help.

They found my new convertible top in NC, so that’s good. Also these shocks were put on replacing the brand new ones I had just had installed before it went to OKC. Are these hood shocks? Assume anything he did was for “upgrade” purposes.

I would assume those are the shocks missing from the front of the car at the moment.

Sorry. Another question. So if the hinges on the door have the little hole to line things up and it’s also clearly drilled in the door to line it up can we just put the door on fairly easily with just the hinge bolts? Or is this going to be a major process? Also we do not have the spring that you attaching to the grooves on the door but not sure that is needed just yet.

I would think that the Ridetech shocks are your front shocks.

Basically yes that's all have to do, those doors don't like being set on bottom edges (can easily crack the fiberglass). Tape the ever loving hell out of the edges of door and car(sill also) fender also.
Behind the hinges(inside of door) anywhere the metal could hit and anywhere the door can touch the car.
Also its possible those holes were drilled before and are not in correct spot(assume nothing).

Without a door lifter I'd have 3 people to hold and bolt door up. Springs can be added later. Be carefull door doesn't get opened too far also.
Confused yet.... Door hanging on any car sucks let alone car with super nice paint and without window frames to hold it.

Sage. 2 to hold the door, and one to bolt. I had no idea a "door lifter" was a thing, maybe one can be rented. The few times I've done doors (and no times in the last 20 years) I had pieces of 6x6 and 4x4, smaller pieces of wood including shims, with lots of towels to cover the wood with to rest the door on so the holders don't have to support all the weight for long periods of time.

I agree on the wisdom of not assuming those holes are there to line up the doors. If they are, and they work, I would line up the holes and put an appropriate size nail in the hole to hold the line up, I wouldn't want a screw in there as that has the possibility of putting some weird stresses and torgues on the hinges as the door is maneuvered into position.

The one on the upper left looks very familiar, I believe I have removed it from my current car along the way. After my workout tomorrow, when I am good and dirty, I will crawl under the car and see if I can find it, and take a picture.
