Would you recommend going S via Atlanta? Hopefully being a holiday weekend we will avoid too much traffic. 🫣
Atlanta area traffic a nightmare 24/7/365 and 75 north from there not much better IIRC.
There's no such thing as light traffic anymore... Unless middle of the night.
Are the mountains too much for the Tundra and trailer in the summer heat?

Not just the hills but absolutely no shoulder. God forbid there was a issue, nowhere to pull and shit loads of major construction on i-40, super narrow. Saw at least 4 wrecks coming E.

Yea 40 is no picnic... Didn't know so much construction going on. Haven't taken highways west from Atlanta in decades myself.

I’d go through Atlanta. If it’s midday Saturday it should be as good as possible for Atlanta. Hope the trip home is uneventful.

Good morning all you barn swallows! Just dropping in to say hey and let y'all know I'm still kicking. I've been consumed with trying to get the old house straightened out STILL after the storm damage.....fighting with an overzealous mortgage company that thinks the insurance payment belongs to them. Hard to get stuff done with no funds. I think I've got it sorted now since I tore a strip off their arse for holding things up. Darn winter will be here and stuff still won't be done.
Anyway, Pops doing well at the vet's home so it's just me in the big house. Cheers people, hope you're all well.

.......

Morning Kerrmie
I am glad to hear you are still alive and kicking. Can't you have all your lovely maiden's clean up that mess and fix stuff while you are supervising and drinking beer?

It is nice to hear your pops is doing good.

Morning Robert

Morning Kermie (good to see you around here), Robert and Lisa

Didn't sleep much, brain went into overdrive at bedtime thinking about Nicole vette and how to load it, i wonder about myself sometimes....
Then thought Noki woke me up and couldn't go back to sleep for hrs. Missing my traveling buddy lately.

Just one. I am going to the OU game today. I will play golf tomorrow, but I have to go to the office for a few hours Monday. I might practice a bit Monday afternoon.

I am playing in golf tournament next Friday and playing that Sunday. So, I am getting a few rounds in.

I have seventeen vacation days left this year. I plan on taking a few of those to play golf.

What do you have going on today?

Would you recommend going S via Atlanta? Hopefully being a holiday weekend we will avoid too much traffic. 🫣
Going south through Atlanta would only add about 20 minutes and miles according to Google.

I-85 to Atlanta, I-285W by-pass (becomes I-285S), I-20 to Birmingham, I-22 to Memphis, I-40 to OKC.
