67 fuel gauge sender fuse is blowing
Hi all,
My fuel gauge sender fuse is blowing every time a new fuse is installed. I suspect the wires inside the tank on the gauge's sender are somehow shorting (immersed in gasoline too) and this short is the root cause of the blown fuse. Is this a known design flaw in this design of the fuel gauge's sending unit ? Are there any remedies for this issue that are easier than completely draining the tank, dropping the spare tire assembly, and completely replacing the sending unit ?? Any assistance and direct experiences are appreciated... Thanks |

i would look at were the wires meet the sending unit, thats more likely the prob.
