Question from some of you who've been on CF longer than me: Where does the outright hatred of FPD from a few come from? Lots of very personal insults in his current thread and outright hatred from a couple of people. Why?

I didn't think anyone actually hates him. I always took the shots as jokes. Some just more harsh than others.

He can be insufferable at times.

I don't understand that either. There's an extremely vocal group of what Doug calls "core haters" - which is the main reason he rarely posts here. Doug's lifestyle is a tad unconventional but he's good people.

Skid Row Joe (an insufferable fool) compared him to a serial child killer in a post today. If that's not hate I don't know what is. He, repo and Lars take every chance they can to insult everything about Doug when his choices have no impact on them at all. I don't get it.

Doug has always put himself out there and makes himself an easy target. He's had a couple of meltdowns over the years and gone off on some people. There are probably some hard feelings. I do agree with Phred though, he's good people.
