Similar situation in San Antonio. A gurgle I thought was gas...was not. Fortunately the toxic waste was contained by the FOTL barrier. I ran across the street to a hotel, cleaned up and dumped the filter in the trash. Very embarrassing moment even though my wife was the only one aware.

Same with ours, and no cash is allowed. The guy at the clubhouse has a window open, he only takes a card if you need to pay. Members like me, we just show up and play. The carts are sprayed down with bleach water between each use, one per cart, you can't touch the flag stick, there is a little PVC thing in the cup to stop the ball from going down more than about 3/4". We made a rule that if you putt and the ball touches the plastic thing but comes out of the hole, it counts as made. Doesn't happen very often but it happens. Also no rakes for the bunkers. We made another rule for our groups that if you land in a bunker on a messed up area, pick up the ball, and smooth the sand with your foot and replace. Works out well.

Yesterday they had verti-cut and sanded the front nine, and are doing the back-nine today. It was very damp and the sand on the greens on the first nine holes made putting brutal. But you got used to it pretty quickly and always kept a towel handy. I shot OK-ish on the front. Got to the back nine and it was like I didn't know how to putt anymore. Kept smashing the putts past the cup like 10 feet. The difference between the greens on the front and back really screwed with me. Shot terrible on the back. I rarely 3-putt and did it like six times on the back.
