Finally got all 16 security cameras functional

Need to have my electrician reposition the one in the back yard much lower so it can see through the pool cage and give me a better view of the entire back yard. Thought the interior garage cam was a nice touch.

No more cameras for me from here.

What kind of neighborhood do you live in where you're paranoid to setup 16 cameras? Where we live we only lock the door when we go out for a few hours or on vacation.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere where I thought I needed 16 security camera. There are far better places to live.

That was my thought as well. No security system or cameras here. Never felt the need for them.

How would one, or 16, cameras prevent that? Cameras might record a crime to help catch the perp, but they don't do much to prevent crime.

Cameras combined with alarms and an attentive home owner armed with appropriate firepower my man.

I have a few. I like to see when Amazon/FEDEX/UPS rolls in. It's also nice to catch the bobcat/deer/elk/bear/etc. activity around the house.

You'd need to be an incredible idiot to actually break into a home in this neighborhood. Chances of you not getting caught and shot are about 10%.

Better to have it when you need it then to not have it at all. Couple that with the fact that my office/fortress is so large, I can't see out the window, this gives me a view of the outside world.

I have a few cameras myself. I live across from a park and parks are magnets for all sorts of douchebaggery. The cameras help me keep an eye on what's going on outside.

On some of them I run AI such as automatic license plate readers, loitering detection, object and facial recognition, and other fun things.
