I usually just make steak fries in the oven and ketchup works good enough for that. If they're fried in a pan with bacon I'll be dipping them in egg yoke.

I don't think I could tell the difference between ketchup brands or even between hfcs vs natural etc. Store brand like kroger is fine with me.
