After botched cataract surgery, I had to spend a week 24/7 lying face down until my retina re-attached. 50 minutes face down EVERY hour....I went 3 days without a shower until my head started itching and then I could no longer stand it and wifey had to play Hair Cuttery and shampoo it in a shallow bucket.

Not sure you can truly appreciate a devoted spouse until you go through something like that (I eventually did 3 weeks total "face down" time).
