Default Ever do something nice and later regret it?

Started another 48 hour shift this morning. Granted the OT is nice but about 12 hours before I start the shift I start asking to myself why? I guess it could be worse.

Ummmm, what's nice about working a 48 hour shift? The title should be "Ever do something and then later regret it.".

Hmm, let's see . . .

I once took parts out of my own computer to fix a friend's ( I was due for an upgrade anyhow). Told him I'd take a (meager) 100 bucks for the parts (Processor, RAM, Mother Board - back when that chit was very pricey). He said sure, and I spent the entire weekend at his house rebuilding, cleaning his HD (viruses out the wazoo), reinstalling all software, etc... When I was done he told me he didn't have the money, and his wife would freak if he asked her. I said fine, (since he's an electrician) how about you run a 30 amp circuit out to my Dad's garage, so he can use his air compressor? He said no problem. Well, that was 9 years ago and he doesn't talk to me anymore.

I redesigned another friend's kitchen and deck addition in CAD, as well as designed and built a huge shed in his back yard, and allowed him to store a car in my yard for about five years. When I asked him to finally pick his car up I gave him three months notice. I had to fix it since it sat so long, so I could drive it out to the street. That was the last I've seen of him. He still has my engine stand, and the key to my house (which I asked many times to be returned).

Sure I have. I took my buddies girlfriend off his hands for him (pure sex) and I didn't think the ***** would ever leave.
