more incompetence from the USPS

A guy needed a couple Cub Cadet parts so I busted my ass last night to get them done. Go online, purchase postage and schedule a pick up, all thru thru the USPS website.

The pick up was for a small priority box IN my mailbox. I stand the box on edge to make it easy for them to grab.

Looks like the village idiot has our mail route now. The mindless window licker doesn't show up until 5:30 pm, pushed the box over to put in today's mail and drives off.

He's two houses down when I get the mail and see what the mindless twit has done. I take the mail in, tell my wife what the village idiot did and get in the Suburban.

By this time he's already turned right on the next road and is the farmer's mailbox. I beep the horn, get out and the bastard drives off

He stops at the next farm and I pull in front of him. I get out with the box and say " You were supposed to pick this up at my house"

He looks at the box and says, "Oh, ok"

It's 4 hours later now and still doesn't show in the system. I realize not everyone can be the sharpest tack in the box but incompetence just pisses me off

No I did not. As per every other time ( as in 60-75 times over the past few years), I write in the comment box that the flag will be down.

Never a problem before with the mail carriers that can read simple instructions.

We also got moved to the end of the day route. Before we would have our mail by 10:30 AM.

It's been four and 1/2 hours and this is tracking

Oh, I understand your frustration, our USPS 'workers' here aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer either.

There are times they've simply left a postcard in my mailbox for a package that needed a signature on days I was definitely home (I was in the house and heard the mail truck driving through the neighborhood and NO doorbell ring or knock was heard from them)...they were just too damned lazy to come up the private drive. Instead I am forced to go to the PO to pick it up.

Between them and FedEx, I do not know who is the bigger village idiot.

About the only one with decent service around here is UPS...same guy delivering in my area since I moved here in 2001.

With USPS tracking, I usually have received the item
before tracking information shows up.
This is mostly on 2 to 3 day shippings.

The USPS is a jobs program, not a mail delivery service. Get with the program.

My USPS carrier gotta be 450+lbs.....she drives up on the side, blows the horn for stuff that cannot fit in mail box for somebody to meet her at the Jeep.

Sometimes I ignore her just so she gets exercise.

I get the incompetence thing quite often from USPS. When a package arrives that's too big for the mailbox, she'll pull up the drive and leave it around the back porch, as preferred. The box is about 200' from the house. I don't mind getting the mail, it's a little exerise, but on a crappy weather day, a PITA.

Caught her a few times dropping off the package, I would ask, "any mail?". "Oh, I left it in the box". Sometimes she'll leave the mail with the package, sometimes not. More often not.

As of 15 minutes ago, still no change in the tracking.

I will stop at the post office tomorrow after work where the village idiot works out of to see if it's in the USPS internal tracking system.

I handed the package to the village idiot on 2/19 at 5:35 PM while said dumbass was sitting in the mail truck.

So where was it during the "lost" time and HTF did it get a Zionsville timestamp when the actual Zionsville post office was closed a few years ago?



When I printed the postage TODAY was supposed to be the delivery date but at least it'll get there on Saturday ( freaking idiots )
