Default Upside-down on a boat...
A kid in his 20's that I know, son of a good friend, told my wife and I last night at the fireworks party thing that he'd just bought a new boat. Well, new used boat, only 120 hours on the engine. I can't remember all the specifics but it was a nice boat. Was being the operative word. My wife just got a text from his mom. Apparently a tornado hit their boat dock today. His boat is floating upside-down in the water about 200 yards from what's left of the dock. His trailer is in a tree. If he sends us pics I will post them. Good news is, it was fully insured.

Wow...on a lift. I bet the insurance agency comes out to look at thee lift to see why it failed.

It failed because the entire dock went airborne. EF2 tornado, direct hit. All that's left of the dock is part of the walkway.

Wow. Insurance will definitely pay up unless there is some small print stating the boat needed to be on a trailer during bad weather. Hopefully it's covered!

And this is why people who are responsible get ahead. Who ever this boat owner was he planed for the worst and hoped for the best.

That's what smart people do.

Ah, the pictures.

If you click on the right arrow you can see his only "before" picture he has. Didn't realize when he said his boat was upside-down about 200 yards away from the dock that he meant his boat and the entire dock was upside-down 200 yards from the previous location of the dock.
