Default HDR Software

I am looking for some fed back or info on some HDR software.

I have tried 5 different products but I think I have it narrowed down to the following two. Photomatrix or HDR Efex Pro. Both seem to do a great job, but it seems that the Efex is not real good with RAW files.

So any feed back or help would be greatly appreciated

Photomatrix
I have this one. I've kinda of abandoned the HDR thing personally, but it is very popular.

Just curious if you are taking multiple exposures or just emulating HDR with one image?

No I am doing the bracketed shots. Normally 3 shots of the same image. I know that this programs will do some adjustment on 1 image, but that is not what I am doing.

It looks like you may have posted this question somewhere else as well In that case I'm going to copy and paste my response also:

I have used Photomatix for years now with great results. Recently started trying out HDR Efex. Did so mostly because I really like the NIK software bundle. IMO Photomatix gives abit more control in the (Overall) type of image editing, however really like the precise control of NIK Software "U-Point" technology (basically allowing you to reduce the effects on certain parts of the image). As of yet I do not have enough experience with HDR-Efex to say if it is any better of a program.
