Because from my experience, a developer needs to maximize the parking spaces because the building size is dictated by the parking.

Many parking spaces in my area are not wide enough for most non-compacts.
I ALWAYS park in the back of the lot, with wifey's XT5 I would not park in those spaces, as you almost have to exit through your sunroof.

We are all Yadkin supporters here, but can we agree that just this one time, in Johnson City, his parking was less than stellar? I personally feel the truck could have been better centered, and recommend either bumper-mounted tape measures or extendable curb feelers.

Parking spaces have been 9’x20’ for as long as I can remember. I’m sure some spaces in older developments may be smaller and are grandfathered in.

Parking space dimensions are relatively standard across the country, but they can vary slightly depending on local laws and regulations.

The standard parking space dimensions across America are between 7.5 and 9 feet wide and 16 to 20 feet deep.
https://rethority.com/parking-space-dimensions/

It depends on the jurisdiction. Most dictate only minimum dimensions; some both min and max. A retailer like Home Depot likely has its own standards, which are likely larger than most municipalities. That is, of course, based on their expected clientele.

This is the second pretty significant hit on this new truck. IMO, some vehicles are 'cursed' or 'marked' from new just to be magnets for other vehicles and falling objects. I had a couple of co-workers that way. One had a new Corolla that he could not keep from getting hit....the last time the illegal that hit him actually tore the engine out of his Nissan pickup. The Toyota was rebuilt, but never the same. And my co-worker was injured pretty badly. The other guy bought a new Ranger to replace his faithful '91 Ranger, and it got hit so hard at 20k miles it needed a new bed and frame. Then, about a year later, same thing. It's on it's third bed and frame at about 80k miles. He just sold his '91 with about 585,000 miles on it, original paint (no clearcoat to peel so it still looked good) and no dents (never been hit) for $3500 to a Mexican who took it south.
His '91 was a nicer truck than the 'new' one that had been pieced together several times and hit a bunch.
Just saying, some cars seem to go through a long life unscathed, while others are destined to be magnets for other cars, falling rocks, or fast moving shopping carts.

Just out of curiosity, what would an early '90s Toyota 4WD truck be worth retail, bought and driven only in CA (til this year) with 80-some K miles on it, good mechanically, has new brakes? My buddy has one and is selling it.

One of the local garage owners said they are very hot now.

My Grand National got rearended three times in the space of two weeks. After the third time, I checked my brake lights to see if they were working. Collected on all three hits and replaced the bumper myself.

First time, it was a mattress in the highway at night. I slammed on the brakes and the guy behind me was following too closely.

Second time, I had just gotten out of the dentist chair getting a temporary crown and there was a really pretty girl with an extremely short skirt waiting to cross the road. Guy behind me was watching her and not me.

Third time was a very old man who admitted he just didn't see me stopping for a light. I kind of felt bad for him.
