Nothing wrong with hard labor as long as the body holds up.

These days I let the tractor do most of the work.

In the thread about your getting the property, I suggested using goats to clear the brush. Here is an example of what they can do. YOu can rent them.

Not sure if that would work on my property. I have mostly pine branches and debris from tree harvesting.

Probably not. Then I suggest matches and something to dig a big hole.

I may burn some. I do have a local guy with a pit nearby who will haul debris for me. Will go that route unless it gets too costly.

I also included 4 work lights on the corners, just under it.

I see the OEM canopy has light cutouts in the mold. Pretty cool.
Confirmed today that I’m getting the canopy and it’s in the deal at no additional cost to me.

Salesman reminded me to fold down the ROPS with the canopy attached if I get into low hanging trees/brush.

Finally picked up the green machine yesterday. Had it working this morning up at our small farm. I spent about 4 hours on it doing some cleanup and getting used to it.

Powerful little tractor it is. And the JD shop did an excellent job rigging the 3rd function for the grapple. The grapple is awesome.

It’s a lot of work ahead but I actually like hard work. Maybe it’ll keep me young.

If they are already down on the ground, they won't suddenly drop.

As with ALL mechanical devices, always keep flesh away from any danger/ interference or moving parts. It has no soul or feelings and doesn't care if it maims or hurts you.

Neighbor flipped his over backwards attempting to put out a root ball (stump) from a tree. I came up the road and all I saw was an upside down tractor. I ran up and luckily NOBODY was trapped underneath.

Definitely a pucker moment.
