I had no issues with it. I’m 5’8.

It installs on top (above) the ROPS.

A word to the wise. Make sure you get the optional slip clutch on that RC2060 if you plan on doing any clearing or mulching. Without it, all that unit will be good for is clipping grass.

Big time safety item here locally with all the ditches, canals, and marsh mats.
The fact it blocks some sun is bonus.

I've been out of the game since the early 90s but a Kubota with hydrostat was always hard to beat.
I worked at a dealership in rural NJ for a few years and would demo equipment for buyers, rock pick fields etc.

Kubota hydraulics were always so much smoother than the others that seemed jumpy and inconsistent; but again, this is old info.

Lars, the ROPS does you no good unless you’re wearing your seat belt.

Always wear your seat belt even if you think you’re only going to be on level ground. Before you know it you’ll drive one wheel across a pile of dirt from your box blade as you’re turning around, etc and your tractor will remind you to put it on… albeit a little too late.

Good. Sometimes it is an add-on. Usually a couple hundred bucks. It will prevent extreme shocks from tearing up the u-joints on the PTO driveshaft. It acts as a buffer. If you are going to be doing heavy clearing, I consider it essential. Money well spent.

The hard top is the balls!
Best thing I ever added, period!

I also included 4 work lights on the corners, just under it.

Requested today. He believes he has it in stock. Apparently a low inventory part, I'll know next week.

I see the OEM canopy has light cutouts in the mold. Pretty cool.

Handling hay bales and farming in general is hard work, even when I was a teen and in shape years ago. My moms boss had a hay farm and I worked for him during the seasons

That's what teens are for. The adults are down below throwing the bales on the elevator as fast as they can while us teens were up in the loft, where it is about 20 degrees hotter, trying our darndest to keep up with stacking it.

It's how I grew up.

Now that I have a farm of my own, I don't make the hay, but I buy enough of it. And I have to stack it myself.

I threw hay every summer and fall in Poteet, Texas for family...following the tractor, no gloves, bails made with real bailing wire.
Mrs. Moreno brought us Nehi grape or Big Red, trays of flour tortillas with eggs and potatos for food.

We worked and didnt complain.

We didn't complain because kids back then were taught to respect their elders. The men were out there in the fields working so that meant we were too. Just the way it was. Woke up early and ate breakfast in the dark too so that we could take advantage of every bit of daylight.

I remember humping hay, picking beans and corn, and cleaning horse stalls. Never complained once. And we were lucky to get paid a few bucks. Truth is I would have done it for free I loved the work.

I could have stuck with it but went the construction route.
