At any rate the difference between what you would experience with the 3032 or 3038, and what I went through is a five year old truck that had been abused, rode hard and put away wet and with the regen system not maintained at all…

You on the other hand would have a nice clean brand new John Deere small tractor that will be kept in a barn and maintained perfectly, plus a warranty for a few years.

Any luck researching failure rates on the Deere 3 cyl diesel tractor DPF systems, and typical repair rates? The failure rate and cost to repair may be something that you are perfectly willing to accept in exchange for some extra PTO horses.

Nothing concrete. You know the internet, always someone with an issue and another 100 guys without.

Salesman (who is a no bullchit kinda guy) said very few issues. For example he said this year so far not one tractor in for an exhaust issue in any of their 10 stores in Florida and south Alabama.

Btw- the exhaust system has a 10 year warranty.

I think you made the right choice. 10 year warranty on the exhaust? You’re good. And they wouldn’t make that warranty guarantee unless they knew it was a good design.

Thank you and I appreciate your input.

In addition to the 10 year emission warranty. It has 6 years power train warranty. I got him to extend the 2 year bumper to bumper out to 6 years in the deal (a $1300 add). And 5 years of insurance as well (an $1100 add)

It looks like the same setup as in my 2001 Kubota, power wise.

I got a few implements on the initial purchase. The rest I paid cash for because I’ll finance at 0% but not anything other than that.

Lars I'm sure they done told you. If that critter starts a regen. Just be sure to let it finish before shutting it down. I don't know where the DPF is mounted but if its down low. Don't regen in tall dry grass...lol Good luck and a fine looking toy added to your collection.

I don’t believe the DPF is mounted low. I’m told it will regen every 60-80 hours. And thanks, it’s a cool machine.

I had one. There are cheaper fiberglass ones available. I liked mine but it hit a tree while it was on the trailer and I didn’t know it. Ripped it to shreds.
