Pfadt oil cooler kit install

Finally had a chance to work on the 97' for a few hours.......
Before I put the DS header on, putting this on to cool the oil some.
Got this for less than 1/2 of a new one.
Gotta take off a few things to mount the cooler but its easy to do:

Thought so. It had to be an iron block of some sort. What is the weight difference?

~ 80 lbs but with other mods in the back it evens it out. Even though internet legend is it adds to much weight......It has never effected its performance autoxing, road racing or at the drag strip one bit
It has been alive since 2003 and has nozzzzzzzzzzz too

I am just up in the air about it still. The Z is getting boost as soon as I get back so I am sure its life span is going to be greatly dimminished knowing the way I drive. So I am looking and planning now which route to take.

The way I drive I need the assurance of longevity..........I have a hard 13K miles on that motor and have been through a rear and tranny twice
If the motor broke tomorrow, I wouldn't be upset at all
...........cause it only has a C5 Z06 TB & LS6 intake with a mild cam

Oil cooler finished up. DS header next




Cooler attaches to the foglight/vararam bolt & to the frame.






Only thing that doesn't have a cooler now is the rear.........
