I purchased a Springfield and modded it just enough to make it mine. ( trigger, hammer, sear,springs, polished feed ramp, relieved slide and Pachmayr grips)

I got bored with factory guns so I built my own in 9mm. Essex frame, Remsport slide. Kart barrel, Novaks, EGW fire control, etcetera. I like it and it shoots well.

I have thought about a 1911 several times but I don’t think I need to add another caliber ammunition to stock. Currently have

Congrats! Like said above it's just the first one.
I have three different calibers. From lower left, a Ruger SR1911cmd in .45, a Taurus PT1911A1 in 38 Super,
and last a RIA GI series in 9mm. The Ruger is my EDC after jacket weather hits.

I have a Colt Delta Elite 1911 in 10mm..... I drop in a .40 S&W barrel and shoot .40 S&W all day long. You can get a 1911 in 9mm and .40 S&W if you wanted to... although .45 ACP is my flavor of choice.

Most Excellent.

One of those popped up locally recently, was VERY tempted, but have some house projects going on at the moment and couldn't justify it.

I'll probably regret it in a few years. Just like I did with the other Gold Cup in .38 Super I passed on about a decade ago. For $600.00

I probably should have done this as well. Over years of collecting I most likely couldn't tell you how many different calibers I have, without taking a look!

My son had these Kimber's custom made after his first tour in the sandbox, serial numbers are custom representing his UH60 unit's call signs....Angry Birds 1-10. I have #5, he has 4, 6, and 7. Others went to his crew.

They may be worth some bucks one day.
