The fact that this thread devolved into arguments about beans in chili, shows that all of you morons have fallen for the liberal bullshit that the OP is about. Let me explain:

A strong confident man is a scary thing, that is a fact on which both liberals and conservatives agree. Where they part is that conservatives believe that not only do strong men contribute a huge amount of the work that results in the forward movement of society, but that they also don't accept any disrespect of women, so that in the presence of strong men, women can be strong themselves, and not worry about assaults from weak-minded men who seek to denigrate the contributions of strong women, as well as creating an environment where a strong woman can advocate for herself, and not need a man's assistance, except in the case where a man wants to get what he wants from said woman through the use of physical force.

There is NOTHING more hated by an authoritarian government than a populace that is riddled with strength, and likely to rise up against the authoritativeness they strive to achieve. The most obvious path to eliminating that strength is to emasculate the men in the society. Make them submissive to the government, and convince them that ANY display of "strength" in any way, is "bad" and destructive. If you think this is only happening in Canada, look around in the US. The liberal narrative is that male heterosexuality is "aggressive" and "bad". They want to promote homosexuality in all its forms, but most especially among young men. They are "heroes" simply for "questioning" their sexuality, and celebrated if they come out as gay, or want to be women.

The turn this thread made is another data point that they are winning: A start that boys who want to be "strong" is initially criticized for emasculating boys, but quickly devolves into a quibble about proper recipes.

Congrats folks, you are following the narrative to the letter. Don't bitch at me when in 2030, guys are wearing panties and arguing about appropriate heel heights and if it is really wrong to wear white after Labor Day.

Excellent post, and, I agree with all of that. Having said that, I've been accused of posting too much political stuff here when people are here just for fun and entertainment, so I (no pun intended) was OK with spicing things up with the chili discussion tangent.
