I think over the last month, the American People got a really clear picture on who is really willing to default on America’s obligations.

Who would that be? We were in no danger of defaulting on our debts. We collect more in tax revenue each month than needed to pay, and paying holders was #1 on the priority list.

We can see who was willing to do what it takes to right our fiscal ship. Hint: NOT Obama, NOT Democrats, NOT old-guard Republicans. Only ONE group was, the new kids on the block.

Time to balance the books and cut spending, you libs want more taxes from the rich, we can do it plus time to go after the 47% not in poverty to pay their fair share as zero is not a share

Ok ... I'm totally on board with that!

So ... why wasn't it supported when the President suggested it?

Link showing Obama "suggesting" taxing the 47% who currently pay zero income taxes?

Ok Chas, let's try this again. You made a claim that Obama suggested getting the 47% paying into the system. Quit changing the topic and post a link. If the president said it, it shouldn't be that hard to back it up.

Correction, I said President Obama “suggested” a shared burden for All Americans.

Quote:
House Democrats want shared burden from deficit reduction deal
Any deficit reduction deal with Republicans must bolster job growth and spread the burden equally among the wealthy and other segments of society, congressional Democratic leaders said Thursday after talks with President Barack Obama.

The president met for more than an hour behind closed doors with House Democrats to discuss ongoing deficit reduction negotiations and the looming deadline to raise the federal government's debt ceiling.

Thursday's meeting and a similar one Wednesday with House Republicans came amid deficit reduction negotiations led by Vice President Joe Biden and a pressing deadline. Congressional approval to increase the federal debt limit is needed by early August. Absent significant spending cuts and other debt-reduction steps, Republicans oppose raising the debt limit.

House Democrats want shared burden from deficit reduction deal - CNN
Spin it anyway you want. The FACT is; you can't get blood or Taxes from a Turnip ... so squeeze as much as you want.

So if the Republicans want to put as many Americans out of work as possible ... I say great political strategy.

Look guys; you’re the ones who asked me the questions, and I answer it!

Then you get to have total and complete free reign to insult, change whatever I write or bitch to your heart’s content ... until it get's deleted.

Yet I’m the one who gets all the drama from the Moderators.

Therefore, if you don’t want any answers from me, then don’t ask me any questions.

I definitely would definitely raise an eyebrow at that link.

So you honestly believe that when Obama and the congressional leaders wish to "spread the burden equally among the wealthy and other segments of society" that the burden would touch the 47%? I don't think you're being intellectually honest.

You say about squeezing blood from turnips, but I ask you, do you feel it's in the best interest of the nation that nearly 50% of it population are not paying into it, but are still receiving substantial payouts from the system. Additionally, this voting block has the influence to perpetuate this one-sided flow. Do you think this is the direction this nation should be headed in?

We have the Highest Unemployment in recent history … demanding more money from people we know don’t have ANY money is insane. So … once we get past the insanity and get back to practicality; you come to people who had their Taxes Lowered 10 years ago and are NOW doing better now than they have in decades.

So I ask you … respectfully ... what makes common since to you?

No it's not fare that everyone isn't paying taxes ... it's also not fare that guys 7 foot guys can block a 5 footers shot ... but that's life.
