Accomplishments in life......

Well I have accomplished not getting thrown in jail and I have gone to places some I never thought I would go to and some that I even as a kid I wanted to go to.

So he says, that he feels that he has never accomplished anything in life...he is 2 years younger than me, so age 70.....He commented that at age 17 he and a buddy on a mountain hike in New Hampshire, managed to rescue a girl who fell off a mountain ledge, so he went over the side while his much larger/heavier friend held on to him and they got a loop under her shoulders, and pulled her up/over.......and then in the .mil he managed to save some guys once or twice....

But his over all feeling was that he never accomplished much in his life....and I feel the same way, really, world would be no different if I never existed.....

anyone else feel this way???

Well I bet the people he saved think differently about his accomplishments they are still around. Now if he says he done not too many things not exciting that's different. In life one chooses their destination because that is how they are hard wired and they choose a certain path. I choose to become a police officer because I like excitement and love adrenaline rushes and I like danger as sick as that sounds. I saved many lives in my 30 year career and have many commendations but still as I get up in age I feel like I still did not accomplish enough in my life. If I had to do it all over again I would have gone into the Air Force to fly fighter jets. I also think at my age I would have liked to get married and have kids although all my friends tell me how fortunate Ive been not to have done that. I think it is all relative to one's mind.

I bitched and raised hell at homeless people that I knew could get their shit together.
Outta the 37 years I had my business......only 4 of them did, and are good members of society.
