One of my best friends died four days before retiring, he was my golfing buddy. It was awful.

My plan! 11 years to go. I can’t believe how moronic some ‘workers’ are. We had a senior person call me four times today to figure something out. It took my admin 3 minutes to understand this and you need a couple of days I asked the senior buffoon. In the ‘old days’ I could have called her a dumb **** and slammed down the phone. HR considers that hostile these days. Christ almighty.

I tried once. moved to key west, lived on a boat. I lasted eight months and had to get back to the grind. its a sickness I think. I keep thinking I want to do it for real this time now that im over 50 but I cant get the mind to commit to stopping work. I still like the chase, its messed up.

It didn't work out anywhere near the way we planned, but it's okay. The bottom line is not having to get out of bed in the morning and go make somebody else rich for one third of my day is priceless.
