Friend of mine carries one. He loves it.

I've shot it a few times and it's a nice little gun.

Glock double stack, making it wider.

I'd love Glock to do a compact single stack carry weapon.

that's how they carry a few more rounds - at the higher calibers.

Your shorts must be pretty tight. Mine would be around my ankles after about two minutes of walking.

Oh wait, the is a Corvette forum. The XDs will work fine in jorts.

Have one. Excellent piece. Love the way it shoots. Really accurate up to about 20-25 yards(at least for me). Can't hit shit much farther out than that...easy to slip in a pocket, and currently shopping for IWB holsters for when I get my CCW permit.

Huh? The Glock 36 IS a single stack. It's slightly larger because the magazine carries one more round.

You're right. I forgot about the Glock 36. I had already decided against it because it's still too large.

Glock 36
* width: 1.10in
* height: 4.76in
* length: 6.97in
* weight: 20.11oz

XDs:
* width: .9in
* height: 4.4in
* length: 6.3in
* weight: 21.5oz

M&P Shield (what I carry):
* width: .95in
* height: 6.1in
* length: 4.5in
* weight: 19oz

I pocket carry. The Shield is pretty much the max I can comfortably carry. I might be able to stretch it to the XDs. But the Glock 36 is just too large in every dimension (except actually being slightly lighter than the XDs).

If I carried IWB, any one of them would do.

Always carry my Kimber Ultra Carry in the summer with shorts. Just need a belt.

Jorts? sure, if I feel like it, but usually with my khaki cargo shorts.

Is'nt the XDs supposed to be the compact equivalent of the EXm but with some upgrades? I hear it's a very nice TheHandle and want to try one myself since I love my XD-45.

Gym shorts, basketball shorts, sweatpants, etc. It is too heavy for any pants that don't require a belt. IWB would be okay in shorts with a belt but if you are active at all, it is going to beat the crap out of your leg if you pocket carry wearing shorts.

It looks a lot like it and it feels a little bit like it, but it's significantly different in size.

I've shot the XDm and XDs 45 back to back and I do not recall much of a difference in the trigger.

One benefit of losing 31 lbs is that my pants and shorts fit much looser and it's oh so much more comfortable carrying IWB now.

There isn't enough room in my WB for a business card.

I only carry when I leave town...
And when I leave town, I am never wearing any of that stuff.

For some reason, I feel compelled to mention that I don't think I have ever owned a pair of jorts...
