Any Martini Henry fans here?
I recently found an old home gunsmithing book from 1970 which mentions a company called Service Armament importing new production 65000 PSI proofed BSA Martini actions. My researches on Service Armament find they did not last long... I was looking to build a .357 mag single shot and I wonder if anyone here has heard of the company, or the modern Martini?

I remember seeing Martini action carbines in Big 5 back in the 60's for $39.
Seemed too much at the time.... one of my many regrets was not grabbing one or more! Slick little actions! |

Yep. Not optimal, IMO. I have an 1885 Hi Wall in .45-.90, and like the sleekness of the Winchester Hi and Lo wall actions. The Remington Rolling block is super strong and a good base as well.

Hmmm...
I remember seeing Martini in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, but other than that I'm afraid not.
