I’m so sorry about your cousin. Colon cancer is treatable and survival rate is high if caught early. 7 years this month for J.

This breaks my heart. Handsome guy. People should be put in prison for “selling” people on BS cures.

Kind of like the guy we put on ventilator this week at the hospital that refused the COVID vaccine and was convinced the Ivermectin (dewormer) he was taking would protect him.

Morning y’all. Dropped off the Syclone to the mechanic. Looks like the silicon seals on the transfer case are done and the reason for the leak. Anyone got a guess on hours to remove, apply sealant and replace? I’m guessing 8 hours. Also addressing the reason why it ran a bit hotter than normal the other day. Have a nice day.

How long ago was that? It's one long overpass now. Going to do the mountain bike ride from the top of the pass down the old railroad grade towards Avery on Sunday. There's one tunnel that's a couple of miles long and a few pretty long trestles too. I did it a few years ago. It's a pretty scenic ride. There's a bus that takes you back up to the top.

They built the overpass pretty long time ago. I'd have to use the Google machine.

I used to drive back and forth between home and Ft. Lewis in the late 80s and stopped at that traffic signal and usually got fuel right there on the corner along with a sixer and a bag of Ruffles.

Last Stoplight on I-90
Field review by the editors.

Wallace, Idaho

For many years the town of Wallace was famous for having the only stoplight on 3,100-mile-long coast-to-coast Interstate 90, which ran through its business district. Then some unsympathetic road-builders built a bypass, killing the town's claim to fame.

Wallace held a grand funeral for its stoplight on September 12, 1991, placing it in a horse-drawn hearse and driving it through town as bagpipers played. Now the stoplight rests in peace at the Wallace Mining Museum, its lamps forever dimmed, in a coffin filled with artificial flowers.

The Museum also displays the one billionth ounce of silver mined in the district, an item clearly more relevant to the museum and the town than the stoplight -- but the stoplight still gets most of the attention.
