Awesome toy! I did the same thing and sold the C5 for an E63 AMG S.
Absolutely love it and it just hit 40k miles and has been rock solid except for a bad AC line.

The Porsche is far better vehicle, fit, finish, and performance. Not per dollar, but, it can dance around a Corvette after the Corvette overheats half way through a few laps..

I had never been in one until recently. It's damn fast for a twin turbo 6, because of the weight. I was really surprised.should be fun once weather breaks.

Yes a cab is more expensive and a 911s and a 911s cab is more expensive. But with a Porsche it can have over 100k miles on it and the paint and interior will look like new. I worked for Corvette and later Porsche, the Corvette is the best bang for the buck but the Porsche is miles ahead on handling, paint, fit and finish and the material they use. Both great cars.

it may very well be. they do a lot with shared engineering. i look at it like this: many say its a benchmark brand for things like corvette. it may or may not be. regardless i can afford to try it and see. if i dislike, sell and move on to something else no harm done. if i never tried, i would never know.

Very nice! It looks a lot like the 911 my brother had. I think his was a little lower on the food chain though. Unfortunately, he wound up in a wheelchair because of MS. He finally sold it off a couple of years back.
