Just came back from viewing, highly recommend seeing it. It did have a few moments of reminiscing sappy stuff, nothing objectionable. Didn't see any wokeness at all. The aerial scenes were outstanding, the price of a ticket alone. After all, it's just a movie, made to entertain and for us, it certainly did.

New movie complex in in my area, they have $6 Tuesdays. I suppose prices change during peak times.

Have been hearing all good reviews. And thanks for the "wokeness assessment" @Norm. I pretty much avoid anything Hollywood has to offer these days but may make an exception here.

First movie I've been to in 5+ years. Maybe closer to 10.

Matinee this afternoon, about $12 each ( I think it said 25% off) regular ticket price.
It was IMAX theater.

Somewhere around $55 for 2 tickets, two drinks and a bag of popcorn.

We saw it on Sunday matinee show, and it was soooooooooooo worth the wait!
Outstanding flight sequences and even though I spent many years on carriers, there wasn't too much to complain about as far as realism is concerned.

And, the producers (damn you Jerry Bruckheimer for being so great!) and studios even went "opposite woke" by reinstating the Taiwanese and Japanese flags on Maverick's flight jacket in defiance of what China wished. Good on them!

All in all, 10/10, would see again!

Just got back from the theater. Norm is right. Definitely worth seeing. It was kid friendly. We had the grandkids with us. They liked it.
