Default New sway bar in the C8

Not done yet, but what a colossal pain in the ass. Had to drop the sub frame, and then getting the old bar out and the new bar in was wicked difficult. Tomorrow will be day 3 of this "little" project. Supposed to be good for 3-4 10th's on a 60 second course.

Miata used to take me 20 minutes to swap and another 20 minutes to rebalance

That thing looks like it weighs more than my rear subframe

On full soft setting, it's 50% stiffer than factory. Looking forward to testing it out next weekend.

Cut and disposed of the pine tree the storm took out in the back yard Friday... as well as the large branches from last weekend's storm. Mowed the grass, trimmed around the house... it's all good now.

All done! 6 hours my ass...3 days for me. No left over nuts or bolts, and everything fit back together perfectly! That sway bar goes with the car when I sell it. New buyer can have the factory Z51 bar, but for $300, no way in HELL will I do that again.

That was the original plan, but timing didn't work out. "Pit Crew" will be here next Thursday to race locally and do the shake down with the new bar. This is our last chance to test before Bristol. At least I had a long weekend to pull this off.

Just did a drive to the gas station for some refreshments. The handling is EPIC. I'm on the competitive street tires to run SS next weekend. The steering input is so quick and precise. On my 2008, the front sway bar was the most epic change made to the car as well.

So at 3-4 10ths it will take how many years to get the 3 days back?

The hotchis ones I put on my 09 changed it quite a bit, even over the Z51
