Belt drive timing set, what's the scoop?
I thought Jesel made a setup for LSx apps, but now can't seem to find anything on it. I know Speed Inc used to have it listed on their site too (as I recall it said block machining required), but it's no longer listed there either.
So anyone know if a setup is still made, and if so, what's all needed to make it work? I'd have to think it would need a dry sump/remote oil pump system, as I can't see the stock style oil pump working with it....what else? I have no immediate plans, but was thinking if I ever got to building another engine, this is something I'd be interested in. I guess what prompted the question now, is that I see SDPC is down to only 7 of the Cloyes IRL chains left in stock, and once they're gone, they're gone for good, so I may grab one of those now while I still can (and just hang onto it for future use). But If a belt setup is made, and it's feasible to do, I'd rather explore that route. |
