I have no idea. Never been in a town that doesn't like folks travelling through? Never been in NH or Mass where cops will ticket the driver of a sporty looking car for the smallest infraction?

He's was a big guy in a small car, big steering wheel that doesn't tilt, and he couldn't reach his wallet. So he told that to the cop, then started to open the door. The cop drew his gun.

That's just the way it was there, back in the day.

Baby Doll was pissed, started reading him the riot act. I interrupted, told the cop "thank you" and we left.

I've never had any problem with sheriffs or NYS Troopers in my life. One time a trooper clocked me at 75 in a 55 and only gave me a ticky for mud on my license plate. And I didn't cry or plead insanity or anything, I knew I was doing 75. Not being a liar or an asshole goes a long ways.

And I've been driving my C6 around for 10 years with no front license plate, cops see it all the time. They've never pulled me over for it.

Having NY plates may make the difference. I had no problem in the 11 years that I was a resident.

However, as a visitor, this happened. When I pulled out of the side road the cop was far down the road. He obviously sped up to close the gap, basically forcing me to accelerate quickly and a tiny bit longer than I should have. I hired an attorney and she used this evidence to quash the ticket.
