Looks simple enough ... which means I'll jack it up 5 times before I get it right.
I think I will tackle that one in the next few weeks.

Well the bottles are in and I'm just about ready to spray. I still have to tuck in the excess N2O line in back, change the spark plugs and then get the bottle filled. I'm planning on taking it to Ed over at VA Speed to have him put it on the dyno and make sure everything is just right but I can't promise I wont hit the switch on the way down there.
Anyway, here is what happened since my last installment. I got some 3/8" oak plywood and cut out a couple 12x11 squares for platforms to mount the brackets to. I got them just where I wanted and then spotted the holes for the brackets and drilled holes for threaded inserts. Glued the threaded inserts in and then used Gorilla Glue to adhere the platforms to the rear deck. I tried prying them off once dry and the wood was starting to creak and my prybar was about to bend so I think they are going to stay put. I removed the pad from the back of the carpet where the platforms were as to avoid any lumps and made some templates out of paper so I could find the threaded inserts once the carpet was back down. Punched some holes in the carpet with an awl and then cut out tiny holes for the screws. I used stainless fasteners with lock washers to secure the brackets and whacked them a few times with a rubber mallet and they seem pretty sturdy. OK, here's some pics. I think it turned out pretty swell. Getting everything lined up: Oak platform and threaded inserts: Blown heads are still good for something: Carpet pad removed and templates in background: Brackets mounted: One for the ladies: For those of you wondering, I had the aluminum bracket for the N2O bottle but I was just going to mount the NANO on it's side next to the N2O but GB thought it looked tacky (he was right) so I had to order a fancy bracket for the NANO and that was what was holding this last step up. GB is going to help me paint the bottles once it warms up and I have something pretty cool planned for those. Other than that, if you're driving down the highway one day and it looks like a giant banana fired from a Abrams tank flies past you it's probably me.
