Default How to slow cook ribs

I am thinking of taking ribs, place them on the smoker for about 30 to 45 minutes to get a little smoke, then place them in a slow cooker with sauce for a while (how long?) and finally finishing them off in an over to get a glaze on them. Any suggestions?

You're making me hungry

That's 8-10 hours in the slow cooker. Considering the oven I'd shoot for the low end... But then after smelling it all day long they'd never make it to the oven if it was me

I like to braise mine. Throw 'em in a shallow pan with a seasoned liquid mostly water and throw a dry rub on 'em (so the liquid shouldn't cover them, just to the top). Loosely cover with foil and cook for about 4 hours at around 225-250. The longer the more tender and you may need to add liquid midway depending on how it goes.

I would think a slow cooker would be the same. The longer the more tender as long as the liquid is right.
