Not quite. Let me go back a stack of pages and find what I said about that. To get in the financial position I find myself in currently I actually took a few risks along the way. Like buying BP shares when they were almost at the bottom. Like buying Hammersley Iron shares when the local wisdom was the firm would go broke and Yes I investigate a lot before I make a move.
I am very controlled within myself and dont get carried away ever.

You edited after I took the quote. No political answer from me. I just dont know what you are citing.

Unless of course you were on the Iraq War bandwagon when Cheney purchased GM SUV's at $250,000 a piece then pushed into burn pits so he can order more ... simply because the secretary's were to afraid to drive around Iraq in them ...
Where are the facts on this, and burning SUVs should have helped GM survive at those prices

Kind of makes you wonder why the (R)'s don't give Kudos for GM and the DOW/NASDAQ/S&P ... by the way, what is the DOW today ... about 11,428 at closing ?

Thanks to the (D) Sense of Congress a coupl'a months after Obama came in it's up about 5,000 from 6,400 and dropping at the time of Bush's exit ...

If you watch that too closely you will go nuts. I look at the general trends and after a few bad losses learned to look at the firm as a whole.

Dont you just LOVE it when you post information that goes against your own argument???????

I have never said the Earth isn't capable of temperature fluctuations. that would be stupid. so would be saying that we can't affect Mother Nature.

On the contrary, I tend to believe that man is unlikely to ever affect the weather. Polluting this amazing planet we live on is stupid and we should be concentrating on cleaning this planet up. No question.

How long does it take for "weather" to become "climate"? How many days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries....????????????

The Sahara Desert has undergone significant CLIMATE changes over the past =/- 200,000 years.....Do you mean to imply that these were all due to man's activities?

Scientists are not fortune-tellers. They don't know exactly what will happen in the future. But they can use special computer programs to find out how the climate may change in the years ahead. And the computer programs tell us that the Earth may continue to get warmer.
Together, the melting glaciers, rising seas, and computer models provide some good clues. They tell us that the Earth's temperature will probably continue to rise as long as we continue increasing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
:U What a load.
The computer models are useless unless and until they can account for more than just a couple of variables. Heck, they can't even back model the near past!! I like that...."will probably"........nice scare tactic. "will probably" means they haven't got a clue about what MIGHT happen.
