I wash it as often and aggressivley as I want...then choke it until it throws up.

Besides that, you can't wash off the bacteria that's INSIDE the meat! Sometimes I rinse it, very carefully to get the slime off the outside of the bird if it's not really fresh. You don't have to, but it makes me feel better.
Cooking it well kills the bad stuff. |
