Found out from AS1Gonzo they carry Royal Purple on Base for a slight discount. I gotta get a case cuz coming up on an oil change here soon, at 32% right now. For those of you that have access or friends that have access to military Exchanges/AAFFEs ect., They may carry it at a discount price. Shop and compare.

Tried finding Amsoil info. AMSOIL - Synthetic Oil, Motor and Engine Oil, Lubricants, Air Filters, Oil Filters and Greases
On this website the regular motor oil does not compare this to Royal Purple. However the motorcycle study does compare Amsoil to Royal Purple and others. Amsoil comes out on top in all the comparisons and studies that I looked at on this website. So is it a true comparison put on by an indepentant company or by Amsoil?

I have access to "The Motor Oil Evaluator" which lists various oils by grade and Amsoil comes out on top (#1 [for diesel because it meets specs for diesel engine needs], #2 & #4) in the 5W30 category. Redline is #3 and Mobil 1 is #5. Royal Purple comes in at 40th. I cannot determine if the source of the information for TMOE is Amsoil related or independent.

every time an oil conversation starts the amzoil people come out of the woodwork. its my opinion they are all dealers. i had amzoil try and sponser one of my race cars some years back, when asked if they would replace an engine if it crapped out over their oil they crawfished on me.

as far as diesels go, i ran delo 400 in a dodge for 300,000 miles with zero oil related problems, have 100,000 on my present cummins with zero problems, and i run shell rotella2 synthetic in my motorcycle with zero problems.

my opinion will always be the same. if you change your own oil, and do it every 3,000 miles, any quality oil will do well, it isn't in the engine long enough to do any damage, go for quality filters, that is even more important, my crew chief got me to using k&n oil filters a long time ago, and i use their air and oil filters in everything including my bike. if you are lazy and let your oil go 8, 10, or 12,000 miles, you need the very finest most expensive synthetic you can find, and will probably still trash a motor.

clean oil is as cheap an insurance policy as you can get.

I am NOT a dealer. I am a customer and have been since 1985. I have Amsoil in every internal combustion powered engine I own and I am happy with the stuff.

1993 H-D FLHTC 172,000 miles
2003 H-D FLHRSEI 77,000 miles
1998 Dodge Intrepid 123,000 miles
2002 Dodge Ram 1500 88,000 miles
2006 Corvette Conv, 29,000 miles

none burn oil, all run very well and all have been lubed with Amsoil since first service.

didn't say it was bad oil, just said the amzoil dealers come out of the woodwork, it may be fine oil, but so are a dozen others that do the job just as well and cost less than half as much as amzoil charges. but hey dude ! its your money, spend it the way you want, right ?

geeze, you included the warrantee ? sounds like another dealer to me.
